City of Cedar Falls issued the following announcement on November 5.
Beginning Wednesday, November 10, 2021, a contractor hired by MidAmerican Energy, will be closing down Katoski Drive east of Cedar Heights Drive for underground utility related work. In order for the contractor to begin, a full closure of the road adjacent to the Black Hawk Creek Bridge will be required. The road closure for this will be in effect for approximately two (2) days, depending on the weather. The road will be reopened when the overhead crane operations are complete.
In addition, starting as early as Friday, November 5, crews will be working adjacent to Cedar Heights Drive and Katoski Drive that may result in shoulder and lane closures as crew work to install vault structures. North and Southbound traffic on Cedar Heights Drive will be maintained throughout the utility work. Business and residential access on Cedar Heights Drive and Katoski Drive will be maintained. The shoulder and lane closures for this area will be in effect for approximately two (2) weeks, depending on weather.
