Union Community School District issued the following announcement on September 2.
Over the summer, Geater Machining and Manufacturing, located in Independence, IA, worked on Union High School’s milling machine that Mr. Loftus took to them this Spring to get fixed up. Before, the milling machine had cracked handles, a feed table with a motor that didn’t run, and overall needed some TLC. Now, Union’s milling machine is back to great working shape. Union students will now continue to use and learn on this milling machine for years to come.
Union has recently been partnered up with GMM’s student outreach program. GMM not only has an excellent student outreach program for students in the area, but also selflessly helps high schools in need, all while not costing a dime. Mr. Loftus and Union High School is extremely grateful for GMM’s willingness to connect with students and to help out a program when in need.
