Democratic Party candidate Williams won the race to represent House District 60 against opponent Ryan Howard.

He wrote the following post on his Facebook page on Nov 3.

“I am proud to be elected to serve the voters of House District 60, Black Hawk County, and Iowa for another term in the Iowa House of Representatives.  Thank you to everyone who stepped forward to support OUR campaign. It was YOUR campaign.  It is because of all of you that we are able to celebrate a victory tonight,” read the statement.

He pledged to continue with the work.

“In my first term I worked across the aisle on issues to benefit all Iowans.  This will not change, nor will my ability to be an effective voice for the District and Black Hawk County.  I built credibility with my colleagues on both sides of the aisle and appreciate the opportunity to continue to pay forward my experience and expertise. Thank you for the faith you have shown in me.”
