City of Waterloo issued the following announcement on Aug. 27.
With the continued spread of the COVID-19 virus in our county and logistical issues, the Black Hawk County Solid Waste Management Commission and the City of Cedar Falls have cancelled the September 19, 2020 Household Hazardous Materials and Electronics Recycling Collection Event.
Please visit https://wastetrac.org/faqs/ for local recycling options residents may utilize for managing items such as propane tanks, fluorescent bulbs, batteries, computers/other electronic waste, and more.
The next collection event is anticipated to be held in the spring of 2021; the date and location has not been confirmed at this time.
