City of Cedar Falls issued the following announcement on Jan. 9.
The Cedar Falls Public Works Department annual lining project will be impacting traffic in the downtown area throughout the day on Thursday, January 9th. The work is expected to be completed by 6:00 PM. This project involves the rehabilitation of sanitary sewer mains without the need for excavation and long term disruptions to this area.
The lining crews will be in many areas of the City in the following two weeks and will have minor impact on residential streets as they complete this project. Each segment typically takes less than eight hours and is completed during the day to reduce the impact on residents. The lining company will distribute notifications prior to beginning each segment describing what impact this may have on water use.
