City of Council Bluffs recently issued the following announcement.

Hey teens! Grab your friends and head to Valley View for an afternoon of outdoor fun!
Presented by CB Parks and Rec, RECtoberfest is a free event for kids ages 12-18 featuring a combination of carnival games and field day activities including:
•25’ Rock Climbing Wall
•X-Treme Challenge Inflatable Obstacle Course
•Nine-hole Mini Golf
•Airbrush Tattoos
•Tug of War
•Potato Sack Races
•Kickball
•Ladder Golf
•Cornhole (Bags)
•3-Legged Race
•Wheelbarrow Races
•Football Drills
•Water Balloon Toss
All participants must have a waiver signed by a parent/guardian. Waivers can be found on our website (https://www.councilbluffs-ia.gov/CivicAlerts.aspx?AID=192) or signed at the event.
Admission to RECtoberfest is free. Participants will receive a raffle ticket for every activity in which they participate. Prize drawings will occur every hour from the tickets collected. The more activities an individual participates in, the more chances they have to win. KGOR will be broadcasting live from RECtoberfest!
Prizes include one year of Culver’s Custard, The Hub jump passes, YMCA membership, movie passes, pool passes, a signed UNI football, plus gift cards to places like Orange Leaf and Thunderbowl, and more!
