City of Cedar Falls recently issued the following announcement.
The Cedar Falls Transfer Station at 1524 State Street will be shut down for scheduled maintenance beginning Monday, March 7, 2022. The project is anticipated to be completed on or around March 23, 2022, with normal operations resuming March 24, 2022.
Use of the facility will be limited during the closure. Appliances, tires, electronics, clean asphalt shingles, and scrap metal will be accepted as normal.
Limited use hours will be Monday through Friday: 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. The facility will be closed on Saturdays.
Operating Hours for the main Recycling Center (located next to the Transfer Station) will be Monday through Friday: 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. and Saturdays from 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
Remote drop sites will continue operation as normal.
