The Hawkeye RedTail Dance team performed at the Iowa State Dance and Drill Team Association State Championships on December 1-2, 2022.

The RedTails competed in all three categories, Jazz, Hip Hop, and Pom. The team placed highest in Jazz, coming in fifth with a score of 311. The RedTails scored 315 in Pom and 290.5 in Hip Hop.

“They had worked hard all season preparing these dances and received Division 1 ratings in Pom and Jazz,” said assistant coach Carrie Peiffer. “We are really proud of how they came together at State and it was great to see all their hard work pay off.”

The RedTails next performance will be at the UDA College Cheerleading and Dance Team National Championships from January 13-15, 2023, in Orlando, Florida.
