Cedar Falls Public Library recently issued the following announcement.

Pumpkin Decorating Contest Voting

When: Oct 21 – 28, 2021

Description: 

Painted, sculpted, bedazzled, wrapped, spooky, silly, frightening, topped with a cap. There are so many different ways to decorate a pumpkin, but which is the best? Register here to participate in our Pumpkin Decorating Contest! We’ll provide the pumpkins, and you’ll provide the creativity and the additional materials needed. Registration is required and opens on September 27th. The contest will have three age groups, each with 15 spots available. **NOTE: In order to keep the library free of pests, we will not accept carved pumpkins as submissions for the contest**

Adult Registration link (Ages 18+)

Teen Link (Ages 13-18)

Youth Registration Link (Ages 0-12) 

What happens after I register?

  • Pumpkins to decorate can be picked up at the library on October 11th.
  • Decorated pumpkins must be dropped off by October 20th
  • Voting starts in the library on October 21st and goes through October 28th.
  • You can pick up your pumpkin anytime between October 29th and November 3rd.
  • The winner will be announced on Halloween via social media.

If you don’t get a spot, no worries! You still have the power to vote on your favorite pumpkin!
