Lawn City Neighborhood Walking Tour

Discover the history behind Cedar Falls! The Historic Preservation Committee invites the community to take a walking tour of the unique Lawn City Neighborhood on August 18, 2022, at 6:30 p.m. Eighteen specific homes will be discussed during the tour and participants will learn about the rich detail and architectural style of the area. Select homeowners will also share their own stories as well.

The tour will meet at First Methodist Church (718 Clay Street in Cedar Falls) at the parking lot on the northeast corner of Clay and West 8th Street. A detailed brochure and map will be provided at the event. All participants are reminded to be respectful of properties and adhere to guide directions and instructions. The tour will be approximately one mile long and take one hour to complete.
