Hawkeye Community College Faculty and Staff Members Wear Green to Support Veterans

0Comments

The color green can be seen across campus today, with faculty and staff members showing support for veterans as part of the “Green Light a Vet” challenge. Although Veterans Day has no official color, a green light in the military is a symbol for forward movement. Wearing green and displaying a green light serves as visual support for our veterans as they transition forward as valued members of our campus community. The campus-wide initiative was spearheaded by the Student Services Office and Student Veterans of America at Hawkeye Community College.
