Ashley Hinson, a U.S. Congresswoman representing Iowa’s 2nd district, shared several updates through her social media posts during early July 2025. Known for her engagement with constituents and celebration of American values, Hinson utilized her platform to communicate directly with the public on various topics.

On July 3, 2025, Hinson announced her travel plans via Air Force One, stating “Next stop: the great state of Iowa on AF1!” This tweet signifies her ongoing connection with her home state as she returns to Iowa.

The following day, July 4th, Hinson expressed her patriotic sentiments in celebration of Independence Day. She remarked “Happy Fourth of July! The Fourth has always been one of my favorite holidays because we get to take stock of the freedoms & opportunities guaranteed to us as Americans. We live in the greatest country on earth!” Her message highlights a personal affinity for the holiday and underscores the significance she places on American freedoms.

Later that same day, she praised President Biden’s legislative efforts regarding tax reforms. In a tweet directed at him, she affirmed “.@POTUS is a man of his word. The One Big Beautiful Bill saves millions of family farms and small businesses from the death tax!” Here, Hinson shows support for federal policy changes benefiting small-scale economic stakeholders.

In addition to serving in Congress since 2021 after replacing Abby Finkenauer, Ashley Hinson previously served in the Iowa House of Representatives from 2017 until taking office at the national level. Born in Des Moines and currently residing in Marion, Iowa, she holds a Bachelor’s degree from the University of Southern California obtained in 2004.
