Ashley Hinson, U.S. Congresswoman representing Iowa’s 2nd district, recently shared updates on her official X account about community involvement and legislative efforts related to ethical standards for federal officials.

On April 12, 2026, Hinson posted about participating in a memorial and suicide awareness walk in Cedar Rapids. Ashley Hinson has represented Iowa’s 2nd District in Congress since 2021 after serving four years in the Iowa House of Representatives. She was born in Des Moines in 1983 and currently resides in Marion. Hinson graduated from the University of Southern California with a Bachelor of Arts degree in 2004.
