Ashley Hinson, a U.S. Congress member representing Iowa’s 2nd district since 2021, shared her views on various political issues through a series of tweets. Her statements reflect her support for former President Donald Trump and critique the current administration’s policies.

On November 19, 2024, Hinson expressed gratitude to participants in her telephone town hall. She highlighted the enthusiasm among Iowans for “the return of commonsense, conservative leadership under President Trump.” According to Hinson, Republicans are prepared to address key issues such as border security, inflation reduction, and energy independence. “Thanks to everyone who joined my telephone town hall tonight! It was great to hear from Iowans who are excited about the return of commonsense, conservative leadership under President Trump. Republicans are ready to secure the border, reduce inflation, & unleash American energy.”

Later that day, she criticized the Biden Administration for its actions towards Israel. Hinson claimed that recent sanctions reveal an anti-Israel stance and expressed urgency for Trump’s return to office. “The Biden Administration’s true anti-Israel colors are showing in its final days. These sanctions – along with continued attempts to undermine Israeli security – are unacceptable. We can’t get President Trump back in office soon enough.”

In another tweet on November 19th, Hinson condemned the United Nations for allegedly spreading propaganda favoring Gaza and attributed civilian casualties in Gaza solely to Hamas. She anticipated Representative Elise Stefanik would address these concerns effectively. “The UN continues to spew pro-Gaza propaganda pushed by terrorists. Hamas is to blame for every single civilian death in Gaza. Can’t wait for @EliseStefanik to set them straight.”
